Job description

Our client is a well-established, locally owned company with over 20 years of experience serving the community.

As an operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of the landscaping and lawn maintenance services, leading production teams to exceed client expectations through effective scheduling, quality control, safety management, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of production crews to ensure timely and high-quality completion of landscaping and lawn maintenance projects in the Fort Myers/Estero area.

  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and Account Manager to address job quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

  • Oversee crew scheduling, job sequencing, and resource allocation to maximize productivity and efficiency.

  • Implement and enforce safety programs, conduct weekly safety meetings, and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

  • Conduct site inspections, create and execute punch lists, and ensure all work meets company and client quality standards.

  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of crew members, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring all assets are accounted for, properly maintained, and safe for use.

  • Handle minor customer concerns and assist with issue resolution in collaboration with Account Managers.

  • Maintain accurate records, including time entry, job tickets, safety logs, and equipment inspections.

  • Promote continuous improvement through training, performance evaluations, and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in landscaping, lawn maintenance, or a related field, with prior supervisory or crew leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are critical for this role.

  • Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.

  • Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant and pest identification, agronomics, and irrigation systems.

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to conduct safety training and inspections.

  • Competence in using computer systems for scheduling, time entry, and equipment tracking (experience with Aspire software is a plus).

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.

  • Commitment to punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
