D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Purchasing Manager for their Purchasing Department. The right candidate will assist the Purchasing Manager in obtaining and maintaining best qualified and best-priced products and labor contracts to build homes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of all aspects of purchasing for the division
  • Create budgets for upcoming projects
  • Manage costs of existing projects
  • Bid architectural plans to subcontractors and vendors
  • Obtain quality work at a competitive price
  • Purchasing of material
  • Hiring of contractors, suppliers and laborers

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages 2 or more employees in the Purchasing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
