POSITION SUMMARY
Entrega is seeking an experienced Director of Project Management to lead and strengthen project management as a core delivery capability across the organization.
This role is responsible for establishing the standards, practices, governance, tools, talent, and management discipline that enable Project Managers to execute complex client engagements successfully and consistently. The Director of Project Management will lead the Project Management function, develop Project Managers, monitor project-management performance, and continuously improve how projects are planned, governed, executed, and reported across Entrega.
Working closely with Service Delivery leadership, delivery teams, operational functions, and other business leaders, the Director will ensure Project Managers provide the structure, visibility, risk management, and execution discipline required to support successful delivery outcomes. The role will also maintain visibility across the project portfolio to identify systemic execution risks, capability gaps, and opportunities to improve project performance.
This is a hands-on functional leadership role for a professional who combines deep project-management expertise with people leadership, operational discipline, systems thinking, and the ability to build scalable capabilities. The ideal candidate can establish strong standards while developing Project Managers who exercise sound judgment and adapt effectively to the needs of complex client engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This description reflects the primary accountabilities of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Role scope may evolve in alignment with business needs.
- Project Management Functional Leadership
- Lead Project Management as a professional capability across Entrega.
- Establish clear expectations for the role, responsibilities, and performance of Project Managers.
- Ensure Project Managers consistently provide the planning, structure, coordination, visibility, and execution discipline required across client engagements.
- Establish consistent project-management practices while allowing appropriate flexibility based on engagement size, complexity, delivery model, and client requirements.
- Serve as the organization's senior subject-matter leader for project-management practices and execution discipline.
- Build a high-accountability culture focused on successful execution, transparency, early risk identification, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management Standards & Methodology
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Entrega's project-management standards, practices, frameworks, and tools.
- Establish expectations for project planning, scope management, scheduling, milestone management, risk and issue management, dependency management, change control, documentation, reporting, and closeout.
- Define appropriate project-management requirements based on project complexity, risk, scope, and delivery model.
- Develop practical templates, playbooks, guidance, and tools that improve execution consistency without creating unnecessary administrative burden.
- Incorporate recognized project-management practices while adapting them to Entrega's professional services environment.
- Ensure project-management standards evolve as Entrega's services, clients, and delivery capabilities grow.
- Project Governance & Execution Quality
- Establish project-governance expectations that provide appropriate visibility, accountability, and control across client engagements.
- Monitor adherence to project-management standards and identify engagements requiring additional support or intervention.
- Conduct or support structured project reviews focused on execution health, project controls, risks, issues, dependencies, and management discipline.
- Identify recurring execution weaknesses and implement systemic improvements across the Project Management function.
- Ensure significant project concerns are identified early and appropriately escalated to delivery leadership.
- Partner with delivery and operational leaders to strengthen project quality, consistency, and execution discipline.
- Project Portfolio Visibility
- Maintain appropriate visibility into project-management health across Entrega's portfolio of client engagements.
- Develop reporting that provides leadership with insight into project status, execution risks, milestone performance, and other meaningful indicators of project health.
- Identify patterns across projects that may indicate systemic risks, capability gaps, process weaknesses, or resource constraints.
- Distinguish individual project issues from broader organizational execution challenges requiring structural improvement.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights regarding project-management performance and emerging risks.
- Ensure portfolio visibility supports action and decision-making rather than reporting activity alone.
- Project Manager Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate Project Managers across the organization.
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback regarding project leadership, execution discipline, communication, judgment, and results.
- Assess Project Manager capabilities and identify development needs across the team.
- Develop training, coaching, mentoring, and other approaches to strengthen project-management capabilities.
- Create appropriate career paths and competency expectations for Project Managers at different levels of experience and responsibility.
- Identify high-performing Project Managers and provide opportunities to broaden their capabilities and responsibilities.
- Address performance gaps promptly and constructively.
- Project Manager Assignment & Capacity
- Partner with delivery and resource leadership to understand current and future Project Manager demand across the client portfolio.
- Support the assignment of Project Managers based on project complexity, client needs, required capabilities, workload, and individual experience.
- Maintain visibility into Project Manager capacity and identify potential resource gaps or imbalances.
- Support workforce planning and hiring decisions for the Project Management function.
- Ensure Project Managers are deployed effectively and have manageable portfolios appropriate to engagement requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve utilization and allocation of project-management capacity.
- Delivery Leadership Partnership
- Partner closely with Service Delivery leadership to ensure Project Managers effectively support overall delivery outcomes.
- Ensure Project Managers maintain appropriate execution visibility and escalate risks, issues, and deviations early.

- Clarify project-management responsibilities and interfaces when multiple delivery roles or functions are involved.
- Support delivery recovery efforts when project execution discipline requires additional leadership or intervention.
- Maintain clear distinction between functional leadership of Project Management and accountability for overall client delivery outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with delivery, resource, financial, operational, and client-facing functions to ensure project-management practices support broader business requirements.
- Establish effective interfaces between Project Managers and the teams responsible for delivery execution, resource planning, financial management, and client relationships.
- Identify cross-functional process gaps that affect project execution and work with appropriate leaders to improve them.
- Ensure Project Managers have access to the information, tools, and organizational support required to manage projects effectively.
- Promote clear ownership and accountability when project execution depends on multiple functions.
- Project Management Systems & Tools
- Establish requirements for project-management, planning, reporting, collaboration, and work-management tools.
- Ensure tools support effective project planning, execution, governance, reporting, and portfolio visibility.
- Standardize appropriate use of project-management systems and maintain expectations for data quality and timeliness.
- Identify opportunities to automate project reporting, risk visibility, milestone tracking, and other recurring management activities.
- Partner with Technology and operational teams to improve project-management systems as organizational needs evolve.
- Continuous Improvement & Organizational Capability
- Establish measures for evaluating the effectiveness and maturity of the Project Management function.
- Analyze project outcomes, execution challenges, lessons learned, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement initiatives that strengthen project-management capability across the organization.
- Promote sharing of lessons learned and effective practices across Project Managers and delivery teams.
- Simplify processes and eliminate unnecessary administrative activities that do not improve project outcomes.
- Help build a scalable project-management capability that supports Entrega's continued growth and increasing delivery complexity.
