Job Description

The Mouthguard Production Assistant will assist with manufacturing and shipping operations for GuardLab products. This position requires patience, extreme precision, manual dexterity and attention to detail.  The ideal candidate will enjoy physical work, must have a positive attitude and takes pride in producing high quality results.

// Key Functions

  • Ensuring all guards are created with rigorous attention to detail, and carefully able to handle small equipment and machinery
  • Packing and preparing shipping labels and monitoring due dates for accurate product delivery 
  • Organization of the production area, ensuring all materials are properly used, stored and cared for
  • Keeping meticulous inventory of all materials, molds and equipment needed for mouthguard production
  • Work closely with Production Manager and other departments to create a seamless customer service experience
Qualifications

// Core Competencies

  • Precision: have accuracy while working with lab equipment to make mouthguards; must have excellent hand/eye coordination and be comfortable using complex lab equipment
  • Organization: management of the laboratory and storage spaces; properly storing and packing equipment and inventory while prioritizing safety
  • Time Management: understands deadlines and ensures all outgoing deliveries are managed appropriately, and communicates changes to relevant parties 

In addition to possessing the necessary experience and skill set to achieve the tasks established above, the Mouthguard Production Assistant must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have strong discipline for work and focus
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and operate within tight time constraints
  • Excellent hand dexterity and hand/eye co-ordination to work with tools
  • Previous experience in dentistry/mouthguard making is a plus, or experience with buffing, painting, artwork, nail technician or similar fields with transferable skills in a plus
