Job description

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in firewall support to join our Infrastructure Support team's Networks group. The Firewall Network Engineer will support day-to-day activities and projects.
This position reports onsite 3 days/week in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple Checkpoint Firewall clusters for the Internet Access Point.
  • Manage Symantec Blue Coat Internet proxy appliances.
  • Implement and manage security features including IPS, Anti-Virus, Anti-Bot, DLP, SSL interception, and Identity Awareness.
  • Manage cloud solutions including AWS, Azure, and O365 via ExpressRoute.
  • Prevent, identify, and remediate cyber security events.
  • Deploy IP Management systems.
  • Participate in annual security assessments. Remediate POAM items and maintain TIC compliance.
  • Participate in annual Cybersecurity Test Facility exercises tasked with developing incident response procedures.
  • Manage traffic and audit logs for security systems and maintaining historical data for SIEM applications.

Skills Required:
  • Experience managing firewalls for a large (35,000+) user organization.
  • Experience with Bluecoat, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for firewall support and monitoring.
  • Experience preventing and remediating cybersecurity events.
  • Experience developing incident response procedures and performing security assessments.
  • Experience tracking and resolving incidents via ticket queue.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to take ownership of projects.

Skills Preferred:
  • Experience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).
  • Experience collaborating with peer and client teams.
  • Experience working remotely and onsite.
  • Experience using a Helpdesk system - ServiceNow is a plus.

Education:
  • HS Diploma/GED and 12 years of IT experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and 8 years of IT experience.

Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
