Job description

Overview

THE ROLE:

To control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products. Provide technical support to other corporate groups including Research and Development and Global Licensing.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: Test raw materials, finished products, environment, and equipment for microbial contamination. Perform preservative efficacy testing. Assist in trouble shooting production problems. Provide assistance in training personnel. Prepare and standardize all reagents. Follow GMP and applicable regulation for the products and processes Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment. Validate procedures used in the micro lab. Assist in the development of microbiological specifications for new product introductions. Prepare and present technical reports to managers, co-workers, and customers. Other duties as assigned by Management

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision Ability to organize workload for effective implementation Strong customer and results orientation Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity Ability to function as an effective team member Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves 

Experience: Two to five years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry. 

Education: Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Quality Control in healthcare or pharmaceutical Industry 5 years of QC background
