About the Role:

The Commercial Sheet Metal Apprentice role is designed to provide comprehensive hands-on training and experience in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial sheet metal systems. This position is critical in supporting skilled tradespeople by learning to interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately, and assemble components to meet project specifications. The apprentice will develop expertise in working with various metals and tools while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Over time, the role aims to cultivate a highly skilled sheet metal professional capable of contributing to complex commercial construction and renovation projects. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to a rewarding career in the sheet metal trade across multiple locations including Chillicothe, Circleville, Columbus, and Lancaster.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
  • Basic math skills including measurement and calculation.
  • Willingness to work at various job sites within the Chillicothe, Circleville, Columbus, and Lancaster areas.
  • Strong commitment to learning and following safety procedures.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or coursework in metalworking, construction, or a related trade.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading.
  • Good physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:
