ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER - ANNOUNCEMENTS, DIPLOMA, JEWELRY, amp; REGALIA
ONSITE 3 DAYS/WEEK - MINNEAPOLIS HEADQUARTERS
ABOUT YOU:
You are curious, analytical, and excited about bringing announcements, diploma, jewerly and regalia products to life. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will support the development and execution of product and merchandising strategies for a specific Jostens product category (such as class jewelry, graduation products, and announcements).
Working closely with a Sr. Product Manager, you will analyze sales data, monitor market trends, and support the development and launch of merchandise and product line. You’ll collaborate with sourcing, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and strong product line performance.
This role is ideal for someone interested in consumer products, merchandising, and product line management within a manufacturing and retail environment.
YOU WILL:
  • Run and analyze sales reporting. Generate reports on product sales performance and provide insights on category trends and opportunities.
  • Evaluate product performance. Assist in reviewing SKU performance, product assortment effectiveness, and category profitability.
  • Monitor product portfolios. Help manage product assortments and recommend updates to improve product line performance.
  • Support product development execution. Partner with sourcing and manufacturing teams to help manage product specifications, timelines, and vendor submissions.
  • Lead select project initiatives. Provide project management support for product development and marketing initiatives across channels.
  • Support the sales organization. Assist with product-related inquiries, product details, and issue resolution to support field teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Work closely with marketing, sales, sourcing, operations, finance, and manufacturing teams to bring new consumer products to market.
  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Up to 5%
YOU HAVE:
  • Education. BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience. 1–2 years of experience supporting physical product development, merchandising, or product line management. Experience working with consumer products, merchandise, or retail product assortments.
  • Launch Experience. Exposure to new product, category, or business development from concept through launch.
  • Product Lifecycle Knowledge. Understanding of product life cycles and the marketing mix (4P’s).
  • Integrated Marketing Understanding. Familiarity with online and offline marketing strategies, including catalog, retail, and digital channels.
  • Technical Proficiency. Working knowledge of MS Access and PowerPoint. Preferred Desktop publishing experience.
  • Analytical amp; Project Management Skills. Strong ability to manage timelines, analyze data, and drive initiatives forward.
  • Collaboration amp; Communication Skills. Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation abilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Resourcefulness. Ability to leverage internal resources effectively to meet business objectives.
