Job description

Engineer- Port Canaveral
Duties:
  • The marine engineer maintains the ship's maintenance and repair management system.
  • Schedules overhauls for power plant system of ship.
  • Maintains an inventory of spare parts and replenishing that inventory in a timely manner.
  • Keeps track of maintenance expenses for all repairs.
  • Provides estimates for future maintenance and engineering costs for the ship.
  • Prepares and maintains repair records and provide maintenance schedule based on these records.
  • Inspect and supervisor all repair work internally and externally.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • USCG License as a Second Assistant Engineer of Motor Vessel of at least 4000 HP
  • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • Ability to maneuver areas within the vessel including engine room spaces and crew areas
  • Good verbal and written communication with others continuously
  • Process calculations continuously
  • Capable of successfully completing drug testing.
  • Flexible to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends

Victory Casino Cruises has a No Visible Tattoo Policy. For this position you must be cleared of all Visible Tattoos. Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background screening.
You will be required to obtain a TWIC and MMC. Acceptable documents to obtain badging are Passport OR Government issued photo ID and certified copy of Birth Certificate. Supporting documents would be needed for a name change.
