Job description

SUMMARY

Coordinate, plan and manage all manufacturing/production processes and personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
  • Ensure that all manufactured components are produced efficiently, and are consistent with the company's established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
  • Manage company assets to support the completion of pre-set production schedules cost-effectively.
  • Monitor and report shop labor efficiencies.
  • Coordinate, recommend, and manage improvements to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and sustain those improvements.
  • Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout manufacturing. Work constantly with Quality Assurance on continuous improvements and provide preventative and corrective actions when problems occur.
  • Responsible for all MRO, tooling, and manufacturing supply procurement.
  • Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership, development, and training as required.
  • Manage all equipment preventative maintenance activities and requirements to required intervals.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment. Coordinate periodic safety meetings to improve safety awareness.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and provide input regarding required department measurements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing Supervisor(s), CNC Machinist(s), Manual Machinist(s), Saw Operator, Balancer, Laser Operator(s), Welder(s), and other Manufacturing Staff, and Maintenance Employees.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to convey information effectively in writing, presentations, or speeches to other employees.
  • Strong, ambitious, motivated team player, with attention to detail and concern for importance. Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Excellent conceptual skills.
  • Knowledge of FANUC and MAZATROL lathe and mill controls is essential.
  • Must be proficient in programming (MasterCAM preferred) and troubleshooting G-code programming language.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree or greater preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a machined component manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with and in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Supervision and management experience of a minimum of 2 years in a medium to large machine shop environment.

Employee/applicants who receive offers of employment will be tested for controlled substances as a pre-condition for employment. The sample collection and testing will be for controlled substances. A positive test result for controlled substances will render an applicant disqualified for employment.

Negative and positive results will be reported to CSJB Holdings, Inc. If the results are positive, the controlled substance will be identified. The results will not be released to any other parties without an applicant's written authorization.

CSJB Holdings, Inc. will investigate applicants background and qualifications for purposes of evaluating whether an applicant is qualified for the position for which they are applying.

CSJB Holdings, Inc. will utilize an outside firm or firms to assist it in checking such information, and applicants specifically authorize such an investigation by information services and outside entities of the company's choice. Applicants may withhold their permission and that in such a case, no investigation will be done, and their application for employment will not be processed further.
