As a Manufacturing Manager in Menomonie, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading engineering and business teams to create high value, cost effective products and provide superior customer service to the 3M divisions utilizing the Menomonie assets.
  • Leading and effectively executing strategic and operational planning through areas of responsibility ensuring projects and activities are aligned with divisional goals
  • Driving CapEx discussions to ensure longer term success with productivity, and technology enhancements.
  • Leading discussions with extended value stream partners to understand and improve upon yield and productivity through the full value stream
  • Directly supervising Engineers, providing development opportunities and coaching to ensure goals are aligned and impactful
  • Supporting EHS, Quality, Service, Cost, Continuous Improvement and other efforts that are impactful for plant operations
  • Coordinating and leading Partner Alignment and managing the extended value streams for the products and businesses supported from the areas of responsibility
  • Being a key member of the Menomonie Management Team
  • Building strong operational discipline coordinated with Operations Management to ensure that production is of high quality and strives to exceed customer expectations
  • Developing solutions for highly complex and multi-faceted problems, which require ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
  • Networking effectively across all business stakeholders and sister plants within those businesses to share key learnings and capitalize on best practices.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ten (10) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing leadership experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Improvement or principle-based leadership
  • Skills include: Leadership and supervisory skills, effective communications, interpersonal skills, coaching skills, change management, conflict resolution, delegation, goal setting, motivation, emotional intelligence, strategic planning

Work location:

  • Menomonie, WI

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
