SUMMARYThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for the procurement of engineered equipment, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. This position will support project teams with procurement execution, and interface with the project teams while ensuring compliance with company and contractual obligations. ESSENTIAL DUTES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive verbal and written requisitions for materials and equipment from project managers and field operations. Review all estimates, specifications, and submittal information to confirm clarify and resolve any ambiguity or concerns.
  • Maintain effective client relations to achieve active cooperation and team alignment.
  • Support estimating department by contacting suppliers for budgetary quotations for materials and equipment in the preparation of bids.
  • Solicit quotations from suppliers. Review, analyze and present findings to management with emphasis on best economic value and in accordance with the approved decision model and Delegation of Authority to ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the creation of negotiation plans and support and/or lead the terms and conditions/commercial negotiations.
  • Create and execute the competitive bid process via Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ) to negotiate the best overall value on behalf of Rosendin Electric (REI).
  • Support aggregated sourcing events across regions as needed to drive procurement value on behalf of Rosendin Electric (REI).
  • Generate and distribute purchase orders through computerized purchasing system in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Maintain effective relationships with all applicable suppliers, and resolve supplier issues with project and field management, as required. Engage with Procurement Team Lead/Manager on unresolved issues as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the tracking and expediting of all existing orders. Update and maintain scheduling in purchasing system.
  • Review materials upon receipt for accuracy. Enter documentation into purchasing system.
  • Solicit and prepare submittal documentation in support of project managers.
  • Coordinate and document supplier certificates of compliance with project managers.
  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast‐paced business environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to and support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self‐motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Ability to work well with others establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Rosendin staff and suppliers.
TRAVEL:· Up to 10%WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
