Job description

Overview

The Procurement Manager – Benefits & Travel is responsible for managing sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations across the employee benefits and corporate travel categories. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and Travel Operations to ensure cost‑effective, compliant, and employee‑centric solutions. The manager applies procurement best practices—including RFx execution, TCO analysis, and vendor performance management—to deliver value across health & wellness programs, insurance, mobility, and travel services.

The position reports into the Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid schedule in office Tuesday - Thursday.

Overview of Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for employee benefits (e.g., medical, dental, vision, wellness, EAP) and corporate travel (e.g., TMCs, airlines, hotels, car rental, travel tech).
  • Lead RFx processes, including supplier selection, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Partner with HR, Total Rewards, and Travel teams to align procurement strategies with employee experience and compliance goals.
  • Conduct cost modeling, benchmarking, and TCO analysis to support decision‑making and optimize supplier value.
  • Monitor and report on category performance, including savings realization, service levels, and compliance metrics.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory changes (e.g., ACA, IRS travel guidelines), and innovations in benefits and travel management.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure contract compliance, SLA adherence, and risk mitigation across all benefit and travel vendors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, HR, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a focus on benefits, HR services, or corporate travel.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP).
  • Familiarity with procurement fundamentals such as TCO analysis, RFx execution, and vendor scorecards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working with benefits brokers, TPAs, and global travel management companies.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks related to employee benefits and travel.
