Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company growth, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to improve supplier performance, reduce total cost of ownership, and enhance supply continuity.
    • Evaluate market trends, commodity pricing, tariffs, and supply risks to proactively develop sourcing strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, localization, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Perform day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure uninterrupted material flow and production continuity.
  • Ensure purchase orders are executed accurately and suppliers meet delivery commitments.
  • Resolve material shortages, expedite critical orders, and manage supply disruptions.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while balancing service, working capital, and production requirements.
  • Partner with Production Planning to support schedule attainment and customer delivery performance.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics including:
  • Conduct supplier business reviews and develop corrective action plans when performance expectations are not met.
  • Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on supplier audits and corrective actions.
  • Lead annual cost reduction initiatives through strategic negotiations, value engineering, productivity improvements, and alternative sourcing.
    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce total landed cost while maintaining quality and service expectations.
    • Monitor commodity indices and market conditions to proactively manage material cost exposure.
  • Partner with Planning and Operations to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high customer service.
  • Improve inventory accuracy and replenishment strategies.
  • Monitor inventory turns, safety stock, and supplier lead times.
  • Drive initiatives that improve working capital performance.
  • Establish procurement KPIs and regularly communicate performance to leadership.
  • Implement Lean and continuous improvement practices across procurement processes.
  • Improve procurement systems, policies, and standard work to increase efficiency and compliance.


Minimum Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Must have Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or similar
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience
  • Proven experience in Procurement, Purchasing Management, or Product Sourcing,
  • Previous proven supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have a can-do attitude, hands on mentality, ambitious
  • 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen certified a plus
  • Must be able to work individually and with a team
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, Power Point & Word) include knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
