Overview

As an Assistant Sales Manager at Shane Co., you will play a key role in fostering customer relationships and maximizing sales while continuing to hone your management skills. No jewelry experience? No problem! We will provide you with the training you need in order to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our merchandise, represent our brand, and create an exceptional store experience for each customer. Whether you’re early in your career or a seasoned sales professional, you’ll be joining a team where your contributions make a difference!

We are seeking motivational sales leaders who can connect quickly with others, developing strong relationships with guests and teammates. You’ll excel in this position if you possess strong communication skills and can motivate your team while being resourceful and proactive. This leadership role is integral to sales, customer satisfaction, and team development, focusing on comprehensive store knowledge to enhance personal and collective performance.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Support, coach, and mentor sales teams through customer interactions by utilizing Shane Co. sales philosophies
  • Actively drive sales by understanding and meeting the unique needs of each customer on the sales floor and sharing compelling product stories that showcase the features and benefits of our products

Managerial Duties

  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings of the store management team as requested, as well as meetings with the sales team.
  • Perform opening and closing duties related to the store

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with store management, focusing on teamwork and communication
  • Demonstrate and encourage peer coaching within your team
  • Develop a basic understanding of all functionalities within the shop and customer service departments

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 year of sales or customer-facing experience is required with supervisory experience preferred- jewelry experience is not mandatory—we'll provide comprehensive training and ongoing learning opportunities!
  • Availability during evenings and weekends is a must.
  • High level of visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Excellence in written and spoken English; effective communication is key.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Base Pay range for this role is $32-37/hr, which applies to this specific role in this location only.

  • Your placement in the range isdeterminedthrough interviews, a review of experience, knowledge, skills,balanced pay with other team membersand alignment with geographic market data.While we target most new hire offers toward the lower end of the listed range, more demonstratedsalesexperience,knowledge,and skills may result in a higher starting rate.Averageperformancewill earn a moderate increase each year, while high performers can earn a very generous annual increase.Once you join us, we pay for performance and there is no ceiling to your base pay rate over time.

Beyond Base Pay: Basepay is just onecomponentof our total rewards package. In addition, we include:

  • Participation in a team bonus that can range from zero to $150 each week for every member of the store team including the management team.
  • There is an opportunity to earn an individual sales performance bonus based on your participation in both team and individual sales that bring the perfect item to ourguests.This program is open to every role in store, though those with a primary job focused on sales are much more likely to achieve it.
  • Management team members have an opportunity for anadditionalquarterly bonus based on the year-over-year total store sales achieved by the whole team.The amount ofthe opportunityvaries by role.

(Monday to Wednesday 10 AM to 7 PM, Thursday to Friday, 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday noon to 5 PM are our hours we are open to customers.) Whenever we can, we allow shift swaps as life requires.
