Job Title: Glazier/Locksmith
Credentials: Valid Oklahoma Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Education: High school diploma or GED
Training or experience required: 2-3 years of directly related experience with glazing, hanging doors, metal frame installation and locks/door hardware.
Site: Central Services Center
Reports to: Director of Central Services
Contract: 240 days

The district recognizes that the legal aspects and consequences related to medical marijuana, cannabidiol (CBD), and hemp are evolving and may be subject to change. These issues may affect various areas of the district's current policies regarding employees, students, parents, and individuals on district premises, driving district vehicles or attending district events.
The district will continue to enforce its currently adopted policies. As changes in state and/or federal law occur, the district will review and evaluate its policies to determine whether revisions are necessary to remain in compliance with applicable laws.
Employees of the district are expected to comply with all state and federal laws at all times as a condition of their continued employment with the district.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform general glasswork, i.e repairing windows, replacing and re-glazing glass.
  • Replace glass with aluminum or wood panels.
  • Install or assist carpenters to install metal doors, frames, closers, and panic bars.
  • Assist locksmith with repairing, replacing, and resetting locks to keep the building secure.
  • Assist architect on key code for school district.
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Inform supervisor of security problems and of tools/supplies needed to successfully perform the job.
  • Operate a lift as needed for working at heights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Employees must possess the basic communication skills to exchange information, give and receive simple instructions and respond to inquiries. Employees in his position may be required to perform routine computations requiring a knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and/or percentages.Employees may be required to read and interpret routine written or printed materials such as basic blueprints, charts, diagrams, maps or instruction material. In a workday, the employee may sit up to 4 hours per day; stand/walk 4-8 hours per day.Employee's job requires frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling, reaching above shoulder, and pushing/pulling.Employee's job requires frequent carrying/lifting of up to 75 pounds for doors, frames, windows, etc. Job requires employees to use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls; both hands for such repetitive actions requiring simple firm grasping and/or fine manipulation.Employee must possess manual dexterity/visual ability to operate hand and power tools, and ladders. Employees must possess hearing/speaking ability to provide instructions and communicate. Employee's job requires working on unprotected heights (roofs); Use of/close to machinery; working outdoors with temperature changes; driving motorized equipment; exposure to toxic gas, dust, solvents, fumes, gasses.
