Shop Security Specialist
Established in 1911, McElheney Security Solutions is the local leader in residential and commercial security solutions. We are seeking a reliable, customer and team-focused individual to join our team as a Shop Security Technician. In this position, you will assist customers in our shop, handle sales transactions, and perform locksmith services including cutting keys, repairing locks, programming car keys/remotes, and changing safe combinations. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Customer Service & Sales
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and provide accurate information about products and services
  • Process sales transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and storefront
  • Cut residential, commercial, and automotive keys
  • Repair, rekey, and install locks
  • Program automotive keys and remotes
  • Change safe combinations and perform basic safe servicing
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow safety and security procedures at all times

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous locksmith experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills (for POS and key programming software)
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and have a clean driving record
Starting pay $22/hr
