About the Role

At Mighty Quinn's, a Wonder restaurant, our Line Leaders play a key role in delivering exceptional food and hospitality. As a Line Leader, you'll help oversee day-to-day service by supporting food quality, maintaining an organized service line, and ensuring every guest receives a welcoming and efficient experience. You'll lead by example, assisting with guest interactions while supporting Front of House operations to execute successful service throughout each shift.


While Line Leaders are among our most experienced Front of House team members, this role is intended to provide operational support and leadership through example and does not include direct supervision or management of other team members.


Role Details

  • Pay Rate $19.00 per hour plus tips post-training period
  • Training Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
  • Training time period of 4 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Assist in completing all Shift Duties (as listed below) and ensure that all tasks have been executed properly and in compliance with all Mighty Quinn’s rules
  • Provide support to the FOH Team Members by regularly assisting Cutters, Sides, Cashiers, and Expeditors to ensure successful service
  • Occasionally assist BOH staff with certain tasks, where necessary for successful execution of service
  • Cover open shifts and/or step in to work on the line, where necessary
  • Monitor FOH staff performance and ensure compliance with all Mighty Quinn’s rules, where necessary 
  • Perform any and all other tasks customarily required of a FOH line leader
  • A willing attitude to go above and beyond in order to please all of our guests.
  • Able to work well with co-workers in a way that builds effective team spirit.

Note: In the General Manager’s absence, a Line Leader may administer employee break periods and manage early cuts. Under no circumstances may a Line Leader issue a write-up, discipline an employee, or otherwise take any employment action against another employee for purposes of enforcing our disciplinary policies. 


Shift Duties

Line Leaders will be responsible for assisting FOH Team Members in completing certain shift duties, which include, but are not limited to, the following:


Opening Duties

  • Removing all chairs from the tables
  • Making sure all of the tables are clean, and chairs and neatly arranged
  • Fill BBQ Growlers and place on all tables. (One bottle for every 4 chairs)
  • Making sure the garbage receptacles are clean and empty (and stainless tops are in place)
  • Making sure all glass is clean: doors, windows, and sneeze guard
  • Ensure cleanliness of the back wall outside of the kitchen door near the bathrooms
  • Make sure bathrooms are clean and stocked properly
  • Fill soda machine with ice
  • Set up Soda Station and Beer Taps
  • Brew Tea: 5 Tea bags per brew and set up simple syrups
  • Turn on Hot and Cold Holding Tables and set up accordingly
  • Stock sides lowboy and make back-ups for the day
  • Set up sani-buckets
  • Fill cabinet underneath beer taps with folded napkins
  • Set Up Kitchen, including 2 oz. cups and lids
  • Stock bottles of wine and wine cups
  • Make sure fry cups are ready for calling near the kitchen window
  • Make sure all paper goods, containers, utensils, etc. on the line and register are stocked and ready for the day as well as back-ups in case you run out during your shift
  • Set up trays, including backups and prepare paper liners for the day
  • Stock extra serving utensils in case the ones on the line get dirty


Closing Duties

  • Put chairs up on tables
  • Sweep floors including front vestibule and wood room
  • Mop restaurant floor with blue mop
  • Empty and replace garbage cans, clean stainless tops with hot soapy water and sanitize. Bring all dirty trays to washer
  • Fully clean glass: doors, windows, sneeze guards etc
  • Restock Entire line and register area as well as back-ups underneath
  • Clean kitchen window door, and surrounding walls with hot soapy water and sanitize
  • Clean drink cooler with hot soapy water and sanitize. Do not forget to clean glass, handles, sides and check bottom for spills and clean if necessary. Restock for following day
  • Wrap left over ketchup and leave in fridge for next day and send holder and pump to dish washer
  • Remove/melt extra ice from soda machine and soak nozzles overnight in hot water. Remove back grate and drain and bring to dishwasher. Fully clean machine, including the metal taps and sides. Wrap taps with saran
  • Clean back up fridge inside and out including handles. Restock for following day
  • Make back-ups for next day
  • Put all sides in clean pans/wrap/date/refrigerate
  • Filly clean all stainless surfaces
  • Remove grates from drains and clean. Clean drains with hot soapy water, pour bleach water down drains and wipe down with sanitizer
  • Clean hand sinks with hot soapy water and pour bleach water down drain. Fill c-folds
  • Wipe I-Pad screens with wet nap to remove grease
  • Clean wall and ledge of window near the smoker behind the cutting station
  • When everything is finished, bring towels to back


Every team member is responsible for these duties before, during, and after their shift, and Line Leaders should be involved to the extent required at each location. Remember, customers come first, so if you notice that an employee is unable to get any of these duties completed, as a Line Leader, it falls to you to make sure it gets done!

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or customer-facing role 
  • Ability to work with speed, accuracy, and strong attention to detail 
  • Solid organization, clear verbal communication, and ability to follow directions 
  • Team-oriented with basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Willingness to learn multiple stations and cross-train 


Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for a full shift while working
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift
  • Must have weekend availability
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain) if required by State, County or Local Health Departments
