Finance & Accounting Advisory - Managing Director

What you might expect:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert advising executive leadership on complex accounting, financial reporting, IPO, M&A, carve-out, divestiture, capital markets, and other strategic transactions.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of client engagements, including engagement strategy, staffing, execution, quality, economics, and client satisfaction.
  • Guide clients through SEC reporting and regulatory compliance, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, S-4, registration statements, and technical accounting matters.
  • Drive business development through new client acquisition, expansion of existing client relationships, proposal leadership, networking, and market development initiatives.
  • Contribute to practice growth through methodology development, thought leadership, internal training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop professionals across all levels while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

 

What you must have:

  • 14+ years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC).

What sets you apart:

  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, including CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Audit Committees, Boards of Directors, private equity sponsors, founders, and investors.
  • Experience leading significant client portfolios, business units, industry verticals, or service lines, including responsibility for engagement quality, client satisfaction, revenue growth, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated success originating new business, expanding existing client relationships, developing referral networks, and contributing to practice growth through thought leadership, networking, speaking engagements, or market development.
  • Experience developing senior leaders, building high-performing teams, and contributing to recruiting, succession planning, performance management, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Experience advising clients on complex accounting, financial reporting, transaction, regulatory, operational, or finance transformation matters while serving as an executive-level problem solver during significant business events.

Nice to have:

  • CPA license.
  • Experience with SEC reporting, IPO readiness, registration statements, or public-company financial reporting environments.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing technical accounting memoranda and advising on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, stock-based compensation, debt/equity transactions, consolidations, or impairments.
  • Experience supporting significant transactions including IPOs, deSPAC transactions, carve-outs, spin-offs, M&A transactions, capital raises, debt offerings, or private equity-backed transactions.
