The Associate Account Manager - P&C (Korean Language Specialist) position supports the Commercial Lines Account Management team by assisting with policy implementation, ongoing account stewardship, and client retention within an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This position focuses on developing skills in service delivery, client satisfaction, and account growth through superior service delivery. The Associate Account Manager contributes to the delivery of exceptional client experiences through proactive account maintenance, claims advocacy, and collaboration with internal and external partners throughout the policy lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Account Implementation & Policy Management
  • Assist in account setup and client onboarding following binding
  • Assist with new business implementation, including policy setup, loss run requests, proposal preparation, billing arrangements, and checklist management
  • Review bound policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, compliance and proper endorsements before delivery to clients
  • Generate and distribute certificates of insurance, process mid-term changes, and manage renewals or cancellations process accordingly
  • Assist Account Managers in monitoring policy expiration dates and assist in renewal processes

Client Service & Support
  • Serve as the frontline inbound call operator for the agency
  • Serve as primary contact for routine client inquiries regarding coverage, policy changes, billing, claims, and eligibility
  • Prepare materials for client presentations and meetings, supporting Account Managers when applicable
  • Develop and maintain a high retention rate through exceptional service delivery and relationship management with clients, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders and teams through collaboration
  • Maintain client interaction logs and service history within agency management system (e.g., Applied Epic)
  • Escalate client issues to appropriate team members or leadership when necessary

Claims Advocacy & Management Support
  • Serve as dedicated claims advocate, guiding clients through first notice of loss reporting and initial claims procedures, acting as the liaison between Account Managers and the client
  • Coordinate with carriers, adjusters, and third-party administrators to ensure timely claims handling and communication
  • Maintain detailed claims files, track claims progress, and provide regular status updates to clients and Account Managers
  • Assist clients with claims documentation, including proof of loss preparation, invoice compilation, and settlement negotiations

Account Maintenance, Operations, and Problem Resolution
  • Interpret policy language, coverage forms, and endorsements to provide accurate coverage explanations
  • Research complex coverage questions and coordinate with carriers, account managers, etc. when needed
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to build industry knowledge

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required; college degree preferred
  • Korean language proficiency, including speaking and writing, is required.
  • 0-2 years of insurance or customer service experience preferred
  • Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Applied Epic or similar AMS preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional client and carrier interactions
  • Self-motivated, service-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Client service excellence mindset with focus on exceeding expectations and building loyalty
