Our main office is located in Downtown Columbus.As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.What you need to know:Your bilingual skills are in high demand!As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!RequirementsAll applicants must:Be located in the Central Ohio area.Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.Be eligible to work in the United States.Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening (at no cost to you).Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.If you are multilingual and speak English and Thai, Taishanese, Laotian, Khmer, Cambodian, and/or Korean, we encourage you to consider joining the Access 2 Interpreters team and earn great money.
