POSITION SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for assisting in efficient branch deposit, lending, and security operations. Provide assistance with regards to the leadership and technical guidance of branch staff through work assignments, scheduling, and the training of credit union policies and procedures. Processes member transactions and provides a variety of member services in an accurate, efficient, and courteous manner. Additionally responsible for promoting credit union products and services and maintaining proper control of assigned cash, correspondence, transactions, and credit union documents.


QUALIFICATIONS

Requires an organized, motivated individual with extensive knowledge of credit union products, services, and lending procedures. Must have the ability to display sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in performing daily business transactions and activities. Must be able to portray a professional image regarding performance, appearance, and attitude toward members, co-workers, and management staff. Must possess the appropriate skills for analyzing financial information and making solid credit decisions and recommendations. Must be able to balance consistently and keep proper control over cash drawer at all times. Must possess supervision ability and an attitude which promotes enthusiasm and staff morale. Ability to prepare and complete detailed documentation and perform mathematical computation is required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to view a terminal screen and operate a computer keyboard. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with members, co-workers, and staff and provide friendly, courteous member service. This individual must be able to count accurately and quickly. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to attend various meetings, training sessions, and seminars. Position may require light lifting.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide assistance to the Branch Manager in all areas of branch operations, loan activities, and staff supervision as needed
  • Conduct loan interviews and process loan applications and documentation
  • Perform loan closings and disbursements
  • Provide financial counseling for members
  • Recognize member needs and satisfy them with the appropriate credit union products and services
  • Execute member transactions and provide general information in an accurate, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Maintain proper control of assigned cash, corresponding transactions, and credit union documentation
  • Additional duties as assigned
