Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant within our Newark hospital setting, you will work directly with patients in an engaging and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individual treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including therapeutic exercises and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Perform routine treatment procedures as directed by the supervising PT, ensuring adherence to established protocols while continually monitoring patient responses.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate records of patient progress, documenting conditions, reactions, and responses to treatment on a regular basis to facilitate effective communication within the care team.
  • Provide immediate feedback to the supervising PT regarding any notable findings, enabling dynamic adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance and organization of physical therapy equipment and spaces to ensure a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment.
