Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the registered Physical Therapist in delivering comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including exercises, stretching, and manual therapies.
  • Perform routine treatment procedures as outlined in the patient’s plan of care, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
  • Observe and monitor patients' conditions during therapy sessions, accurately recording and reporting any changes or reactions to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust and optimize treatments based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients experiencing orthopedic issues and chronic pain. You will be integral in providing them with the tools and strategies necessary to manage their pain and challenges effectively, enhancing their overall quality of life. Building rapport with patients and understanding their unique journeys will be essential as you support their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
  • A current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license; candidates may apply during the licensing process.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members, facilitating a collaborative care environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly with adult orthopedic and chronic pain populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation is desirable.
