Job description

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist with 15+ years of experience to assist with project management and business development. We are looking for an experienced hydrogeologist with a strong work ethic who would like to be part of a growing team. This position will be out of our Rocky Hill, CT or Suffern, New York office locations.


What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement field data collection activities
  • Data analyses and technical report creation
  • Preparation of water-resource permit applications
  • Project costing and support of client engagement activities and proposal preparation
  • Coordination of subcontractors and vendors (e.g. drilling contractors and laboratory services)
  • Support business development and marketing efforts

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology or water resources related field (M.S. preferred).
  • 15 or more years of experience.
  • Experience with hydrogeological, well design, and groundwater-supply evaluations. Numerical groundwater modeling, wastewater discharge modeling evaluation and permitting a plus.
  • Experience with CTDEEP water diversion and NYSDEC water withdrawal projects and associated permitting requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Marketing, proposal development and client management experience are a must.
  • Experience conducting technical reviews of project deliverables.
  • A positive attitude, ability to communicate effectively with others, work within a team setting, and excellent writing skills are a must.
