Elevate Your Career as a Surgical Physician Assistant in the Vibrant Heart of Scottsdale
Overview
Every surgical suite has its unique tempo-a symphony of precision, trust, and collaboration. As a dedicated Physician Assistant focused on surgical care, you understand the pivotal role you play: from the operating room to patient interactions, follow-ups, and all the critical moments in between, where healing truly begins.

  • Assist in the identification and diagnosis of surgical conditions through detailed interpretation of imaging and lab results
  • Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to devise and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
  • Provide critical intraoperative support, organizing the operating room, ensuring patient safety during positioning, and skillfully passing surgical instruments
  • Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, focusing on medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and thorough patient education
Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Strong preference for candidates with completed clinical rotations emphasizing surgical practice
Certifications

  • BLS and ACLS certification mandatory
  • State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
Skills
  • In-depth understanding of surgical techniques and sterile procedures
  • Proven adeptness in interpreting diagnostic evaluations and aiding in intricate clinical decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to perform under pressure, particularly in high-stakes surgical environments
  • A compassionate approach to patient care with a profound respect for individuals' dignity and needs
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation accompanied by performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive health benefit package (medical, dental, vision)
  • Generous PTO and CME reimbursement offerings
  • Supportive team culture with access to premier resources and state-of-the-art equipment
  • Opportunities for career growth in a proactive healthcare environment

Your Role in Transformative Care
Being a Surgical Physician Assistant transcends mere technical expertise-it's about remaining steady and composed when the unanticipated arises and providing comfort when a patient's worries overshadow their optimism. You will be actively engaged in the OR while also being a reassuring presence in the hallways, clearly explaining diagnoses, supporting families, and guiding patients toward their next steps.
Your involvement will span various procedures, from minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries to intricate inpatient operations. Your impact will resonate long after the procedure, during wound checks, recovery conversations, and strategic care discussions. Your insights are valued. Your clinical expertise is trusted. Your voice carries weight in decisions both significant and subtle.
This team acknowledges your perspective and recognizes that each successful surgery is a collective effort-founded on trust, humility, and unwavering dedication to care.
Scottsdale: More Than Just a Location-It's a Way of Life
Beyond the confines of the hospital, you'll discover a destination that not only embraces life but elevates it. This is Scottsdale, where breathtaking desert landscapes intertwine with upscale shopping, cultural flair, and vibrant outdoor experiences.
Spend a leisurely weekend hiking the stunning trails of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve or immerse yourself in the local art scene that pulses with energy. Enjoy the culinary delights from artisanal eateries where every dish is crafted with care, and the community spirit feels as warm as the Arizona sun. Here, people genuinely engage with one another, often greeting you on the street with a smile that says they care about more than just small talk.
With no state income tax and a bustling job market, your earning potential stretches farther, allowing you to truly embrace what life has to offer. It's not merely a workplace; it's a setting where you can build a fulfilling life that suits your rhythm.
Whether you prefer a high-end apartment boasting stellar views or a cozy home nestled among the rich desert flora, you'll find your oasis here. The local music scene is abundant; the food culture is a delightful tapestry of flavors. And the people? A wonderful mix of enthusiasts, creators, and everything in between-each adding their own note to the vibrant melody of life here.
Our Ideal Candidate
We seek a Physician Assistant who thrives under pressure, finding purpose in preparation and detail. You are someone who listens intently, supports your peers selflessly, and embraces the learning process just as enthusiastically as you share your knowledge.
Whether you are just beginning your journey in the surgical realm or you possess extensive experience in intraoperative assistance, we prioritize your character over accolades. With a keen intellect, composed demeanor, and a genuine commitment to healing, you will discover your place within our team.
Let's Create Impact Together
This position transcends a mere career; it entails a mission-to empower individuals to reclaim their vitality, restore their movement, and return to their lives more resilient than before.
Join an organization where every contribution is recognized, every success is a shared celebration, and every patient is treasured beyond their clinical needs. If you are ready to lend your surgical skills to a community that embraces both clinical excellence and heartfelt connection, we are eager to welcome you to our team.
