SUMMARY: The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and department in all areas including employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits administration, and training. This position maintains accurate records, personnel files, and the Human Resources database. The Human Resources Assistant assists in carrying out policies and procedures throughout the Human Resources (HR) department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain employee information through HRIS program. Maintain and audit employee file records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare, verify and distribute standard and special reports.
  • Manage system for notification of supervisors for team member reviews.
  • Monitor INS expiration reports and follow up with team members for re-verification procedures. Maintain INS/EVP system for applicable new hires.
  • Provide assistance to supervisors, trainers and team members with policy and procedure interpretations and daily standard operation procedures of the HR department
  • Administrative support to HR Supervisory staff and special projects as required. Assist with scheduling of interviews and reference checks.
  • Provide customer service to team embers, applicants and guests on a daily basis to include but not limited to answering phone, providing information and clarifying general policies.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required
    • High school diploma or equivalent AND 1 year of human resources or applicable experience
    • Strong computer knowledge to include use of the Microsoft Office
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Preferred
    • Associate's Degree
    • Human Resources experience
