MISSION:

Our mission, grounded in traditional Native American culture, is to reduce health disparities by delivering high-quality comprehensive integrated healthcare and providing stable housing throughout the communities we serve.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the housing programs manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of NACโ€™s West Valley housing programs, West Valley Housing Assistance Center, and outreach teams. They provide the necessary vision, strategy, program evaluation, and program implementation solutions to Senior Leadership. The housing programs manager oversees supervision, professional development opportunities, training, and management responsibilities to the NAC program staff. The ideal candidate will have current knowledge of the Maricopa Regional Continuum of Care (CoC), Coordinated Entry System (CES), expertise of homeless services in Maricopa County, case management practices, and experience supervising staff with high acuity clients. The housing program director is required to complete the responsibilities of the position in the field and on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the safety of staff and residents at the facility.
  • A full understanding of NACโ€™s philosophy of NACโ€™s resident wellness
  • Supervise, support, and develop program staff to ensure consistent, high-quality services and effective day-to-day program operations.
  • Oversee program implementation, ensuring services align with organizational policies, funding requirements, contractual obligations, and program goals.
  • Oversee outreach teams serving individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, ensuring consistent engagement, assessment, referrals, and connection to appropriate housing and supportive services.
  • Attendance and participation in Homeless Community meetings, events and education opportunities available within the Phoenix metro area.
  • Technical Submissions and data for funding responsibilities and reports.
  • Proficiency and ability to train staff on the SPADT assessment tool for Chronically Homeless persons.
  • Proficiency in HMIS computer software programs for case management data.
  • Ensure that all case files meet funding requirements.
  • Provide oversite to supervisors that conduct weekly staffingโ€™s with Case Management and Property Management
  • Maintain strong working relationship with NAC outpatient services and refer for behavioral health counseling as appropriate
  • Along with the site Supervisor, maintain community relationships to form and/or continue collaborations with service providers for all types of Housing Programs at no cost to NAC.
  • Attend neighborhood community meetings to be up to date on community concerns and to engage the community in NAC for street outreach or other appropriate tasks.
  • Maintain timely, and accurate employee disciplinary documentation.
  • Implement the progressive disciplinary process as needed with employees.
  • Provide oversite to supervisors who conduct monthly community meetings and work to improve the payment history, health and safety issues, and resident conduct through the housing programs.

EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • Five to seven years supervisory experience
  • Seven yearsโ€™ experience in Homeless Housing service
SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
  • Knowledge of the economic, educational and social problems of Native Americans and referral services
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team approach
  • Excellent communication skills โ€“ written and oral
  • Experience in working with the Native American population preferred
  • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation
  • MS Office and HMIS skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Able to sit, stand and walk without accommodation.
