Job description

The Handyman Assistant supports the maintenance needs of restaurant facilities by performing general upkeep and repairs under close supervision. Working closely with a senior handyman and a small maintenance team, this role involves frequent daily travel to various job sites and offers opportunities for hands-on training and career growth toward senior handyman positions.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair restaurant equipment
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC inspection tasks
  • Perform painting, staining, sealing, and finishing to enhance structure appearance
  • Assemble furniture, appliances, and electronics; install shelving, whiteboards, artwork, and blinds
  • Update work order tickets with accurate notes
  • Organize and inventory tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Support senior handyman and collaborate with maintenance team
  • Work independently with periodic supervision
  • Travel daily to multiple job sites as required

Preferred Qualifications
