What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Assistant Group Controller, and why are they important?

To excel as an Assistant Group Controller, you need strong financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and typically a degree in finance or accounting, often supplemented by a CPA or similar certification. Expertise in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel, is commonly required.
