Corporate Controller:ย 

The US Shared Services Controller is responsible for the centralized accounting and finance operations including procure to pay (A/P, T&E), order to cash (billing, credit,ย collections, cashย application and record to report (GL, reconciliations, fixed assets) for multiple business units.ย  Also responsible for ensuring efficiency and accuracy of month end close, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP and company policies.ย 

Primary Job Roleย 

Accounting:

  • Lead and manage the shared services accounting teams (AP, AR, Accountants, cash application, billing, fixed assets, CAPEXย and G/L)ย 

  • Responsible for the monthly close activities within shared services including close calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, accrualsย in accordance withย US GAAP and reporting to the Global Corporate Controller.ย 

  • Complete monthly variance analysis of actual expenses vs. prior month/year and budget.ย 

  • Collaborate withย FP&A team on completingย month endย reporting, forecasts, and annual budget.ย ย 

  • Manage and ensure Accountant coordinates effectively with rental coordinators, projectย managersย and other operational team members to ensure accounting for Events and processes for A/P and A/R are complete andย accurateย on a weekly/monthly basis.ย 

  • Completeย 13 weeksย cash flow forecast in support ofย Corporateย need.ย ย 

  • Establish,ย monitorย and continuously improve internal controls and standardized processes across shared services, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies.ย 

  • Record revenue for theย companyย each monthย includingย review with theย Globalย Corporate Controller and CFO and by job comparison to the Revenue Tracker.ย 

  • Record andย assessย Cost of Goods Sold expenses for the company eachย monthย including review with the CFO.ย 

  • Oversight forย Lease accounting (ASC 842), maintainย NetLeaseย accounting systemย 

  • Coordinate with insurance broker and Financial Management for commercial insurance annual renewalย 

  • Be prepared and available to address any Ad Hoc projects for the internal/external reporting as needed by the CFO,ย CEOย or other departments in the company.ย 

  • Coordinate with Global Corporate Controller and other internal team members to ensure audit requests are satisfied and turn around follow-upย questions timely.ย 

Leadership:

  • Provide clear expectations, regular check-ins,ย coachingย and performance evaluationsย toย staffย ย 

  • Ensure staff are awareย how their roles contribute and roll up to organizational goals andย objectivesย and job duties are aligned to support business outcomesย 

  • If applicable, hold performance conversations with staff andย partnerย with HR to ensure all team membersย are meeting performance expectationsย

Education and Experienceย 

Formal Education:ย Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a related area of studyย 

Experience:ย 7 or more yearsย

  2. Strong accounting, analytical skills, detail oriented, desire to learn, critical thinking, problemย solving.ย 

  3. Ability to balance and prioritize responsibilities to ensure all deadlines are met.ย 

  4. Strong written, oral communication skills, positive attitude, high ethical standards, team playerย 

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteriaย 

  • Experience working with equipmentย rentalย 

  • Previousย experience or knowledge of working with private equityย
