Job description

Job Title:  Senior Staff Accountant

Location:  Florence, KY; On Site

Department:  Accounting

Reports To:  Controller

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8AM to 5PM; Full Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support daily operations, financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury activities.  Experience with Commercial Activity Tax and Sales Tax is strongly preferred.  Treasury Management/Banking experience (Wires, ACH, EFT) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Process and manage banking transactions (domestic and international).
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Review Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
  • Maintain internal controls over cash disbursements and receipts.
  • Prepare and file Commercial Activity Tax returns.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state sales and use taxes.
  • Support external audits and provide required documentation.
  • Spearhead the utilization/implementation of AI to enhance productivity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience processing wires, ACH and EFT transactions
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Sage CRE 300 software
