What does an assistant grounds manager do?

An Assistant Grounds Manager supports the head grounds manager in overseeing the maintenance and care of outdoor areas such as parks, sports fields, or campuses. Their responsibilities include supervising grounds staff, scheduling maintenance tasks like mowing, landscaping, and irrigation, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. They often help manage budgets, order supplies, and ensure that safety and environmental standards are met. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and knowledge of horticulture or turf management.

These skills are essential for maintaining safe, attractive grounds and efficiently managing teams and resources.
