Position Overview

Goodwill HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our primary care team at our surgical center in Naperville, Illinois. This full-time role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, specifically from Monday to Friday, with shifts wrapping up at 5:00 PM. The successful candidate will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating various health conditions while promoting best practices for patient health.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive physical examinations tailored to identifying patient health concerns.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to furnish accurate diagnoses.
  • Diagnosing health conditions, illnesses, and injuries and formulating effective treatment plans, including prescribing medications as required.
  • Providing patient education regarding their conditions, treatment options, and promoting preventive health measures.
  • Maintaining meticulous electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among the care team.
  • Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Advancing your expertise through continuous research and professional development activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on adult patients presenting at our surgical center with a diverse range of health concerns, including chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and preventive health maintenance. As part of a dedicated healthcare team, you will be crucial in guiding patients through their health journeys, ensuring they receive comprehensive care that respects their individual circumstances and needs.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
  • A valid Physician Assistant license to practice in Illinois.
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a current DEA number.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication skills capable of effectively educating patients and collaborating with team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle clinical pressures with patience and professionalism.
Preferred Experience

We highly value applicants with specialized experience in areas such as acute care, family health, cardiology, or emergency medicine. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a commitment to adhering to health regulations will also enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
