Prairie Highlands Golf Club located in Olathe, Kansas is seeking a full time, hourly First Assistant Golf Professional to join our team.  This position will come with a full benefits package to include Medical, Dental and Vision coverage as well as Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay.  Please see a general job description below and should you feel your knowledge, education and experience could be a match, apply today! 

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job Description:

Under supervision from the Head Golf Professional, provides technical and managerial supervision of facilities and staff and assists with all daily operations within the golf department.  Assists in promoting golf activities by organizing daily play and tournaments.  Also assists in promoting/selling club memberships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the Golf Shop and assists Head Golf Professional in overseeing other Staff Members of the Golf Operations
  • Ensures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate
  • Attends any functions or meetings in the absence of the Head Golf Professional
  • Oversee & coordinate junior programs and clinics
  • Handles all aspects of inventory control (receiving merchandise, properly marking merchandise, ringing all sale of merchandise and inventory all merchandise each month)
  • Controls the tee sheet
  • Supervises preparation for all golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments
  • Collects all guest and cart fees
  • Develop relationships with the membership including golfing with the membership to help build that relationship
  • Oversees all aspects of the outside service staff to include scheduling, staging area, practice facilities, golf cart storage
  • Promotion and selling of all golf shop merchandise
  • Club repair
  • Maintains complete understanding of membership categories, sale processes and new member enrollment processes
  • Assists in preparation of monthly membership reports for general manager and owners
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of property management system.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Degree/Licenses:

Associate’s degree; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
