DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a highly capable Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain modern applications supporting defense and intelligence mission environments. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces while contributing to scalable and maintainable solutions within an established system architecture.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers, architects, and UX/UI designers to build responsive applications, implement new features, support integration efforts, and help solve complex operational challenges through software development.

A Day in the Life
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or similar technologies.
  • Build responsive frontend components and user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or Angular.
  • Implement new application features within established system architectures and development standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to support scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Work with UX/UI teams to translate user requirements and designs into functional application components.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs supporting frontend and backend communication.
  • Support debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across application environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality, maintainability, and performance improvements.
  • Assist with system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Contribute to documentation, technical discussions, and development planning efforts.
  • Support modernization efforts involving cloud-native and containerized environments where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in similar roles.
  • Experience with full stack software development.
  • Experience developing backend services using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or similar technologies.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frontend frameworks such as Vue or Angular.
  • Experience designing or integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of frontend/backend integration and modern web application architecture.
  • Ability to independently complete well-defined development tasks and contribute within collaborative engineering teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with React or additional modern frontend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience supporting cloud-native or hybrid application environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other federal mission systems.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance preferred.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $110,000 – $155,000 annually for candidates in the Denver/Aurora, CO market. Compensation may vary based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, clearance status, and mission requirements. Candidates with advanced full stack development experience, cloud expertise, or active security clearances may be considered above the listed range.
