Quality Inspector:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections at all stages: incoming, in-process, and final, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI) and document findings accurately.
- Identify defects and create Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to support corrective actions.
- Assist with routine calibration of measurement instruments.
- Maintain organized and accurate inspection records.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently.
- Complete tasks on schedule to align with production timelines.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
- Entry-Level Inspector: No prior experience required; internships or training in manufacturing/quality control are beneficial.
- Standard Inspector: 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection or a related role, with proven application of quality processes.
Skills:
- Basic proficiency in measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and technical mathematics.
- Proficiency in measurement tools and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety and quality control practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.
Senior Quality Inspector:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct and lead complex First Article Inspections (FAI) and advanced inspections.
- Lead or participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to address non-conforming materials.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Oversee the calibration of complex equipment and ensure adherence to calibration protocols.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Mentor and train junior inspectors to enhance team performance.
- Drive quality improvement projects and collaborate across departments to align with company quality goals.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in quality inspection, including leadership roles in quality improvement projects.
Skills:
- Advanced expertise in metrology and calibration of complex equipment.
- Proficiency in statistical tools, such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Deep understanding of technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) are highly preferred but not mandatory.
