The Financial Analyst supports the finance and operations teams in managing the financial performance of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This entry-level role focuses on financial analysis, reporting, budgeting support, and data accuracy while providing exposure to real estate operations, asset performance, and portfolio-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist with monthly financial reports for residential and commercial properties
  • Analyze budget-to-actual results and help prepare variance explanations
  • Track and report on key performance metrics such as NOI, occupancy, rent growth, and operating expenses
  • Support cash flow tracking and basic forecasting tasks

Budgeting & Forecast Support

  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets
  • Maintain budget models and update forecasts based on actual results
  • Help track capital expenditures and project spending against budget

Property-Level Financial Support

  • Assist with rent roll reviews, expense coding accuracy, and financial data validation
  • Support CAM reconciliations, expense recoveries, and tenant billings (as applicable)
  • Work with property managers to resolve financial discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy

Data Management & Process Improvement

  • Maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards in Excel
