Job description

Job Summary
A well-established legal services office in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong family law experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume case activity in a fast-paced practice environment.
The Family Law Paralegal will provide hands-on support to attorneys by drafting legal documents, managing discovery, organizing financial records, coordinating case deadlines, and supporting hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation. This is a strong opportunity to join a collaborative legal team that values professionalism, accuracy, client service, and proactive case management. Candidates who enjoy working closely with attorneys, clients, experts, courts, and opposing counsel will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare family law documents, including pleadings, petitions, motions, notices, discovery, subpoenas, financial affidavits, judgments, objections, responses, and correspondence.
- Manage discovery processes, including reviewing incoming and outgoing documents, preparing summaries, tracking compliance, redacting records, and organizing document productions.
- Maintain and update case files, production control logs, pleading indexes, databases, calendars, deadlines, exhibits, trial notebooks, and hearing materials.
- Assist with financial components of family law matters, including review of tax returns and bank statements, child support calculations, alimony analysis, equitable distribution worksheets, and related summaries.
- Coordinate mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, meetings, filings, deliveries, court scheduling, e-filing, and communication with clients, counsel, experts, mediators, vendors, and court personnel.
- Track and enter billable time daily while supporting attorney billing, proformas, client invoices, research, inbox review, email drafting, and other assigned case support duties.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
