Summary of Position:ย The Facilities Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and general maintenance of the Faithbridge Church campus. This role supports the Facilities Manager with daily operations and ensures the facilities are clean, safe, organized, and prepared to support ministry activities. The Facilities Assistant is expected to perform duties with excellence, professionalism, and a servant-minded attitude that reflects the mission and values of Faithbridge Church.

Purpose:ย To provide high quality and excellent service, with the right heart attitude, offering support to all ministries. In doing so, the mission and vision of Faithbridge can be carried out and displayed at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Converting the goals of the facility director into a functional process for the coordinator to thrive resulting in safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.ย  The goals will include:
    • Support event and meeting setups and teardowns as needed
    • Cleaning floors, windows, restrooms, fixtures, furniture, equipment and the disposal of trash and recycling materials.
    • Following safety procedures regarding using equipment, tools, chemicals, lifting, and requirements for training and recording.
    • Lawn care and flower bed maintenance.
    • Small projects that will include servicing equipment, wall hanging, drywall repairs, and painting.
  • Manage resources that include organizing storage, Asana, and supplies.
  • Notify the Facilities Manager of maintenance needs, repairs, or safety concerns
  • Clean building floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, carpet shampooing, and cleaning Center Court flooring
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Organization Relationship:

The Facilities Assistant reports directly to the Facilities Director. This position regularly interacts with church members, volunteers, guests, and staff.

Working Conditions:

This is an hourly and full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week), with a regular weekly in-person schedule determined with the Facilities Director, along with some pre-approved Sunday, evenings, and special event work. Attendance at seasonal ministry kick-off events (Ministry Expo) and large all-Faithbridge campus events will be required, including Christmas Eve and Easter. This role requires frequent walking and involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout both summer and winter.
