Duties may include helping patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as taking vital signs and assisting with mobility. While no formal license is required, some employers may require training or certification, such as a CNA program. UNAs play a vital role in healthcare by ensuring patients receive essential support and comfort.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an unlicensed nursing assistant?

Unlicensed Nursing Assistants often help patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. They also assist with maintaining a clean and safe patient environment, observe and report changes in a patient's condition to licensed staff, and may help move or transport patients within a facility. Although they cannot perform clinical procedures that require certification, their support is essential in maintaining patient comfort and workflow efficiency. Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, they play a vital role in delivering compassionate care and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare settings.
