Events and Catering Assistant (Glenaire) Cary, NC
Together We CAN!
Are you organized, detail-driven, and love bringing events to life behind the scenes? We're looking for an Events and Catering Coordinator to support our Events lead with planning, tracking and vendor coordination. Event or catering experience required. The Events and Catering Assistant role is a key role at Glenaire. This is a full time, 40 hour per week role. Must have weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and coordinating events, meetings, banquets, and catering functions
  • Assisting residents and team members create memorable events
  • Support event setup and breakdown, including tables, décor, signage, and catering stations
  • Communicate with residents, family members, and internal teams regarding event details and timelines
  • Help manage catering orders, inventory, and supplies
  • Ensure food presentation and service areas meet quality and cleanliness standards
  • Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after events
  • Assist with scheduling, confirmations, and administrative event tasks
  • Monitor event flow and address resident needs promptly
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Support the Events or Catering Coordinator with additional duties as needed

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous hospitality, catering, restaurant, or event experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
