Electrical Engineer, P.E.

Industrial & Commercial Electrical Design

Location: Piedmont, SC

License Requirement: Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License

Experience: 8+ Years Preferred

Salary: $100k - $150k DOE + 4 Day Work Weeks, Travel Allowance, Phone Allowance, Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, Etc.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with an active P.E. license to lead complex industrial and commercial electrical design projects in Piedmont, SC.


This is a high-visibility technical leadership role for an engineer who can take projects from initial concept through construction while guiding junior talent, collaborating with clients, and maintaining the highest standards of design quality.


You will lead electrical system design, produce permit-ready construction documents, provide technical support during installation, and help shape solutions that are practical, code-compliant, and built for long-term performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead electrical system design for industrial and commercial projects
  • Develop construction and installation drawings
  • Produce permit-ready electrical documents
  • Design grounding, lighting, power distribution, and branch circuit systems
  • Create single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, schedules, and specifications
  • Perform or oversee electrical calculations and power system studies
  • Review designs for code compliance, constructability, and technical accuracy
  • Provide technical support during construction and installation
  • Respond to RFIs and assist with field-driven design modifications
  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural, architectural, and process teams
  • Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, vendors, and construction teams
  • Manage, mentor, and review the work of Junior Engineers and Designers
  • Help establish design standards, quality-control procedures, and project best practices


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • Active Professional Engineer license required
  • At least 8 years of relevant electrical design and construction support experience
  • Strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with SKM PowerTools or similar electrical power study software
  • Familiarity with eVolve, SysQue, or related electrical modeling tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, design standards, and permitting requirements
  • Experience producing construction-ready and permit-ready documentation
  • Proven leadership and team-development experience
  • Excellent client communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, accountable, and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments
