Job Description Do you thrive in an international environment where we design and build complex and challenging capital projects for our clients. We are looking for an accomplished Engineering / Design Manager for current projects in the Data Center market. In this position, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and development of data center facilities and infrastructure systems from concept /schematic design through construction documentation.

You will collaborate with client stakeholders to align on facility needs such as capacity planning, site layout, facility operations, etc. You will lead the engineering effort on assigned projects and are responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Discipline Leads such that the most cost effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved. In this position, you will: Manage the entire design process, from concept to detail design and construction support, ensuring adherence to life sciences industry regulations and standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Construction, Procurement, Contracts, Quality, Project Controls, HSE, HR, IT and CQV, to align design objectives and project requirements Develop project plans, allocate resources effectively, and develops/manage project budgets to ensure successful project execution Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure project deliverables are met Collaborate with stakeholders to set project priorities, manage expectations, and provide regular updates on project status Act as a leader in applying Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost- effective total project solution for the discipline engineering work Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts Develop and review specifications, including design criteria Other duties as assigned Long Description Engineering Director with significant experience in the Semiconductor Fab (Base Build) industry, responsible for all design and engineering aspects of a semiconductor fabrication facility base build project, ensuring technical integrity, compliance, and alignment with design standards and operational requirements.

This role oversees multidisciplinary engineering teams, manages design development, and coordinates with construction, procurement, and project management functions to deliver a fully integrated facility. Responsibilities include driving design optimization, resolving complex technical challenges, ensuring adherence to industry codes and safety standards, driving development from Tool List and Utility Matrix to a full design strategy, and supporting commissioning and startup readiness. Strong leadership, deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, common alternate means and methods strategies, and expertise in large-scale industrial engineering are essential.

Needs to understand typical pitfalls in Semicon Fab design and common mitigation strategies. Has robust network of connections with key clients in the industry. Basic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines Other Job Requirements Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out Practical field experience Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting Data Center Engineering Procurement Construction Experience Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as FDA guidelines, ISO standards, and other relevant regulations, throughout the design process Establish and maintain Fluor quality processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe and effective products Lead risk management activities: risk assessment, risk analysis, and risk mitigation strategies Translate global strategic initiatives into procedures to be implemented on projects Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines, budgets and quality standards Stay updated on the latest advancements, emerging technologies, and industry best practices related to life sciences engineering design Provide technical guidance and support to the team in resolving complex design challenges Preferred Qualifications Professional registration and active participation in technical society #LI-OT1 We are an equal opportunity employer.
