Job description

ELL Facilitator
Position Purpose
Remediate English Language Learning students to achieve language proficiency that will prepare them for academic success.
Essential Job Functions
  • Assists with instruction of EL students in a variety of settings.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with El Teachers, General Education teachers, tutor/ translators, and Administrators.
  • Work directly under the EL teacher.
  • Communicate with parents, as directed by the EL teacher and or/ administrator.
  • Develop good relationships with all staff, including other non-certified staff, teachers and administrators.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Equipment
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rate
$35.18 per hour.
Work Schedule
8 hours per day.
183 days per year.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Translating written documents
  • Operating standard office equipment using pertinent software applications
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records
  • Knowledge of basic math skills
  • Concepts of grammar and punctuation in both English and Second Language
  • Coordinating age-appropriate activities
  • Knowledge of board policy, district, state and federal regulations/laws

License/ Registration/ Certification
  • Indiana Teaching License (English Language Learner Endorsement or Certification is preferred)

  • BA degree in education
Experience
  • Previous experience is preferred.
