Job description

Customer Service Representative โ€“ Electrical Supply
Lima, OH

Are you someone who enjoys helping customers and finding solutions to their challenges? Do you like a role where you can interact with customers, support sales efforts, and help keep branch operations running smoothly?

At Kirby Risk Electrical Supply, our Customer Service Representatives work directly with customers, vendors, and teammates to ensure orders are accurate, products are available when needed, and customers receive the support they expect.


What You Will Do as a Customer Service Representative

In this role, you'll support customers and branch operations through a variety of responsibilities.

You'll:

  • Provide responsive customer service by phone, email, at the counter, and through order processing
  • Partner with outside sales representatives to support customer accounts and identify solutions
  • Coordinate with vendors to help ensure products are delivered accurately and on schedule
  • Assist with product promotions, training opportunities, and other branch initiatives
  • Support daily branch operations, including:
    • Counter and Inside Sales
    • Warehousing and Inventory Management
    • Vendor and Customer Communications
    • Order Entry and Product Support

What Makes You a Great Fit

โ€ข College coursework and/or 2+ years of relevant work experience
โ€ข Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
โ€ข Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills
โ€ข Ability to learn new products, systems, and processes
โ€ข Experience in business-to-business sales or electrical distribution preferred


What to Expect in This Role

โ€ข Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
โ€ข Valid driver's license required
โ€ข Ability to work with multi-line phone systems and warehouse operations
โ€ข Experience with inventory management and loading/unloading shipments
โ€ข Forklift experience a plus
โ€ข Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with overtime as needed
