We are searching for a Learning and Development Specialist. This is a hands-on learning and development role focused on creating and facilitating effective learning experiences for employees, managers, and teams. The Specialist will facilitate 5+ instructor-led and virtual learning classes each month while developing and maintaining learning programs, materials, and resources. 

This is a hybrid role that requires the candidate be seated in the metro Phoenix area and be able to come into the Phoenix office two days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates 5+ instructor-led and virtual learning classes each month for employees, managers, and teams, adapting delivery approaches to support learner engagement and understanding. 

  • Designs, develops, delivers, and maintains learning programs, materials, and resources that support employee and technical development needs.  

  • Partners with subject matter experts to develop, update, and improve technical and employee development training.  

  • Creates and maintains learning curricula and resources for diverse audiences and delivery modalities, with a focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and relevance across roles and departments. 

  • Applies adult learning principles, ADDIE, and the Kirkpatrick model when developing and delivering learning solutions. 

  • Supports the implementation of learning programs by coordinating materials, communications, logistics, and other activities needed for effective delivery.  

  • Manages assigned learning projects and activities independently, maintaining quality, organization, and established timelines.  

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, organizational development, business administration or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience specializing in Human Resources, Training or Organizational Development.

  • Minimum 3+ years of program coordination, instructional design work and/or working within an internal Learning and Development team.
  • Experience with designing, developing, and facilitating training programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). 
  • Demonstrates consistency in character, actions, and outcomes.
  • Experience designing and/or delivering employee or technical learning programs.
  • Experience facilitating instructor-led and virtual training, with the ability to facilitate 5+ sessions per month.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design practices, including ADDIE and Kirkpatrick.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to develop or improve learning content.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management, organization, and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with design tools (e.g. Canva). 
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere). 
  • Experience with Training Content authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Camtasia etc.).
  • Experience with Articulate strongly preferred.
  • Instructional Design certification or experience with creating/editing e-learning content and training materials. 
  • Experience with facilitating live and virtual learning programs (including to leadership), using tools that support facilitation (Mural, SessionLab). 
  • Experience supporting a Learning Management system.
Compensation Range

An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
