Job description

Are you passionate about human anatomy and eager to support the next generation of medical professionals? We are seekingย a Dissection Assistantย to help facilitate dynamic, hands-on learning experiences in the anatomy lab!
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist medical students during weekly anatomy labs held throughout the fall semester (1โ€“3 sessions/week).
  • Guide small groups as they study prosections using lab guidesโ€”identify structures and help clarify anatomical concepts.
  • Attend and prepare for weekly training meetings to stay aligned with lab goals and upcoming dissections.
  • (Optional) Hold lab office hours for student support outside regular lab times.
  • Assist with lab quizzes (setup, administration, and grading).
  • Prepare and maintain anatomical specimens, including dissection and touch-up work (training provided).
  • Help maintain a clean, organized lab environment and support faculty as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Must have or be actively pursuing a bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Experience as a TA in an undergraduate anatomy course required; dissection experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and listening skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Motivated team player who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence.
  • Passionate about anatomy and eager to learn and teach.
Schedule:
  • Part-time, on-campus position based in Provo, Utah.
  • Primary responsibilities are during the fall semester.
  • Labs typically held on Mondays and Wednesdays, and training meetings on Fridays.

Compensation:
  • Compensation Range: $14.00 โ€“ $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
