Job description

The Dispatch Manager leads and manages the day-to-day operation of multiple operations/locations, while providing frequent and efficient communication with customers, drivers, and leadership.

Schedule:ย Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Compensation:ย $68,000-$75,000/year

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and manage multiple dispatch offices/operations to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure team members have the proper resources, training and tools to execute their job.
  • Address escalated question and resolve complex issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Coach the team for improved productivity.
  • Setting clear expectations.
  • Assist with preparing and dispatching orders to the carrier.
  • Utilization of KPIโ€™s to drive results for the business.
  • Communicate with customers in a timely and effective manner via phone and email.
  • Personal responsibility to manage change.

Qualifications:ย 

  • This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least five years of experience in customer service.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Previous logistics experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Zendesk is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to proactively research and resolve problems.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Critical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the vehicle logistics industry preferred.
