The Pfister Hotel is seeking an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to help lead our housekeeping operations, ensuring every guest room and public space reflects the elegance and impeccable standards that have defined Milwaukee's most iconic hotel for generations.

As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.

What you will be doing

       Partner with the Director of Housekeeping to lead daily department operations and ensure exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.

       Analyze operational challenges and recommend solutions that drive efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.

       Assist in managing departmental budgets, inventory controls, labor expenses, and financial performance.

        Lead, coach, and support housekeeping associates to achieve departmental goals and service excellence.

       Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces to ensure compliance with brand and hotel standards.

       Oversee staffing needs, scheduling, and daily work assignments.

       Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements

       Previous management experience in housekeeping, preferably within a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment.

       High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.

       Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams.

       Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

       Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemical safety practices.

       Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems strongly preferred.

       Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional guest service
